From styles and colours to fixtures and fittings, get inspired by some of our design picks for 2022…

Colour Trends
Thinking of giving your home a splash of paint? Want to liven up one of your rooms with a new look? We’ve seen a few colours that are becoming really popular and setting the scene this year!

Greens (such as Eucalypt, Olive and Forest Green) are a great way to add a focal point to a room, by painting a feature wall in a bold green colour, it adds a touch of drama to a space – while also bringing a touch of outdoor colour, indoors!

Neutrals (White, Greys and Beiges) – stylish and unfussy, these neutral tones really help to give a room that clean and fresh feel. Whites and greys add a light, uncluttered feel, while earthy beige tones help bring some warmth to your walls!

Natural Wood Tones (Tasmanian Oak, Spotted Gum etc.), we’ve seen these wood tones grow in popularity, helping to break up the colour scheme of a home and add that natural touch to a space.

Style Trends
This year we’ve seen a few styles really come to the fore, Contemporary Country and Coastal styles for that classic, clean and fresh look,  while the Transitional style mixing modern and classic furnishings is becoming one of the hot looks in both modern and traditional homes.

Living Room Trends
Functional style is the go to right now, such as using Vinyl planks in living areas – as they are easy to keep clean, and you can mix up your designs with rugs and coverings making them very versatile.

Feature Panelling on walls helps to add a focal point to the living area, and allows you to add different textures and colours to your walls, while Built-In Cabinetry allows for a space to show off your prized possessions, adding character and a personal touch.

Kitchen Trends
We’ve seen people getting bolder in the kitchen – by adding in Statement Island Benches with contrasting colours – white cabinets with dark work tops being a particular favourite!
Profile Cabinetry (using 2-PAC or VJ Board finishes) have also been a popular addition, adding a touch of modern elegance to any kitchen. We’ve also seen lots of coloured cabinetry (with Green or Grey being very popular) starting to make its way in to the kitchen – with strak whites making way for additional splashes of colour.

Bathroom Trends
Statement walls are no longer just for living areas, with bathrooms now getting in on the action – walls that feature patterned tiling to give the bathroom some new dimensions are becoming very popular, as are Wall-Hung Vanities and Coloured Tapware – tie in the colours of your statement tile wall with your tapware and you’re onto a winner!
