[Swanbuild](https://blog.swanbuild.com.au/author/swanbuild) 3, September, 2019 ![](https://blog.swanbuild.com.au/hubfs/2-9.png) Are you retiring from farm life and looking to downsize? Want a speedy, cost-effective home without the hassle of a conventional build? Whether you are building on a new block or subdividing your current land, here’s why Swanbuild modular homes are the answer. ![Retiring couple](https://blog.swanbuild.com.au/hs-fs/hubfs/2-9.png?width=600&name=2-9.png) **Factory builds means less time in temporary accommodation** Because 90% of a Swanbuild modular home build is done in a factory setting, this means you don’t have to spend as much time in between accommodations. If you are knocking down your previous home to rebuild, you need not move out as soon as if it were a traditional build. If you are building on another part of your property, you need not move out until your new house is constructed on site. **Custom builds with the options for easy access** Swanbuild offers a range of designs for you to choose from and we can build from your own design as well. As you grow older you may want to consider a home that incorporates ramps, wider doorways, stepless showers, disabled toilet suites and grab rails to showers and toilets. Plan for the future now and ensure your home is accessible and comfortable well into your twilight years. **It is cost effective** No one wants a debt later in life, particularly farmers who have seen hardships in recent times.  Luckily, a Swanbuild modular home is an affordable option. Save even more money on your final home and use the extras to enjoy your retirement. **It can be a simple process** One of the best things about building a modular home is that it can be as simple as you want it to be. Choose from our range of designs, have the house painted in the factory, move straight in after the short onsite construction. Choose the fast, simple, affordable option when you build without scrimping on quality.
