Use these spring cleaning tips to bring your house back to life as the flowers spring up outside. ### **1. A DIY Update to Your Bedroom** If you’re feeling a little bored with your bedroom, spend a little time to create a master suite retreat. Choose a calming colour and repaint the room. Create a brand new headboard. Turn your bedroom into a retreat with pictures of your favourite locations and vacations to calm your mind and bring a smile to your face. ### **2. Take A Look Outside** The chore of cleaning doesn't mean you have to spend all day indoors. If it’s a nice day head outside and spruce up the yard. You can even delegate these tasks to family members if they’re willing - including children who enjoy getting dirty. Think about adding a fun conversation piece and gathering spot with your very own fire pit to enjoy the spring weather with your family. ### **3. Give Your Walls Some Love** Digital photos and prints add an interesting pop of character and personalisation to your walls. Use photos you’ve taken over the years and frame them in some nice yet inexpensive frames to create a homemade art piece. You might even be able to use frames that you already have in storage, so check your attic before you head to the store. ### **4. Change the Colour Palette in the Home** Spring cleaning is an amazing time to update the colours in your home. Have you dreamed of changing your living room or updating the white bland walls of your home office? Do it! Painting is a fun way to get the whole family involved in a DIY project that you can enjoy for years to come. ### **5. DIY Your Way to an Organized and Clean Home** As you are cleaning, consider adding some extra organization to your home. One great way is organizing your family with a homemade chalkboard reminder wall – not only will this keep everybody on the same page but it will also become a key style feature of your home! ![shutterstock\_436000297.jpg](https://blog.swanbuild.com.au/hs-fs/hubfs/shutterstock_436000297.jpg?width=640&name=shutterstock_436000297.jpg) ### **6. Make Your Own Cleaning Solutions** Save money while making your house as shiny as the day you moved in by using natural homemade cleaning solutions. Many of these products are made from items that you’re likely to have in the kitchen pantry such as vinegar and baking soda! Deep cleaning your home takes time. However, the end result will leave you feeling satisfied and without worry if unexpected company arrives. Make a daily tidying list so your home remains in this state for as long as possible before next year's deep clean.
