Dual Occupancy duplexes give you the ultimate freedom to utilise your land and get the most out of your construction project by becoming an owner-occupier, renting out the second home or letting out both homes as either short or long-term rentals.
When it came to the design of our new Dual Occupancy Series, we created several homes based on already popular Swanbuild designs.
However, there is one Dual Occupancy home that we were inspired to create a new design that harkens back to Swanbuild’s more classical elements while also being fresh and new: The Arcadia 21.
The Arcadia 21 mixes the best of classic country with features like a horizontal exterior finish and a gabled roof, with new modern features like an integrated garage, large windows and a tiled balcony.
When it comes to the layout of the Arcadia 21 we really created something new and special. The ground floor contains the home's secondary living space, a very generous family bathroom with double vanity, the 2 secondary bedrooms with built-in storage, and a super practical amount of storage with a laundry, walk-in linen closet and even built in garage storage.
In a modern twist, the first floor of the Arcadia 21 features the main living spaces with the kitchen, an open-plan meals area and a separate lounge space, which both include access to the balcony. The main bedroom measures an oversized 4.1m x 4m and features a walk-in robe and ensuite while it overlooks your backyard.
